Back by popular demand … DOUBLE ELIMINATION!!

All Medalist League Events are double elimination. Medalist is always evolving; part of that process is trying to create things that will make the tournaments more enjoyable. Single elimination did not fail and it has some great points, however the players want double elimination and we are responding!

If a tie exists at the completion of Week 15 of Match Play, the games won in the head to head matches will be utilized as a tie breaker, including 1st place ties. If, after the tie breaker, the
teams are still tied playoff positioning will be picked by the computer and the teams will be acknowledged as finishing in the highest of the positions in contention and receive and/or share
all of the awards associated with said position.

Exception: If, after the tie breaker, there is still a 1st place tie the teams will play a playoff match to determine 1st place. The team that loses said match will then be recognized as 2nd place for playoff positioning.

Round Limits

During League & At Major Medalist Tournaments, round limits will be:

Cricket – 25 Rounds:

  • If the round limit is reached, the game will be decided by marks recorded (not points).
  • In the event of a tie, points scored will be the tie breaker.
  • If a tie then exists, the player(s) involved in the game will shoot one round of Count-Up (per involved player) with the total score determining the winner.

‘01 – 25 Rounds:

  • If the round limit is reached, the team (player) with the fewest remaining points wins the game.
  • If a tie then exists, the player(s) involved in the game will shoot one
